I just received a copy of A House for Mr. Biswas: Critical Perspectives, a new collection of critical essays from Pencraft International Press (you can find a good rundown of the book’s contents here). I contributed “‘His Own Portion of the Earth’: The Rhetoric of Alienation and Separation in Naipaul’s A House for Mr. Biswas” to this volume, and editor and associate professor at the University of Delhi Meenakshi Bharat has done a wonderful job in assembling a really interesting collection of essays on a great and complex book (and an admirable job in navigating around obstacles to seeing that book published). Check it out when you get the chance!
