An interview I did with Don McCauley and the Authors Show. Don prepares well for these things, and although my audio quality could have been better this was a pretty good, straightforward interview covering the basics of how The Third Sign came to be.

Agent interview…
My agent, Roger Williams, recently did an interview with writer Lindsay Currie; I found his answers to be insightful and interesting, though I’ll admit to an obvious bias in his favor. 🙂 You can find it reprinted here, and it’s well worth the read. Greg

I’m assuming anyone reading an author’s blog will have heard something about this, but in case you’ve been hiding under a (oh, let’s just say it) a Super Bowl rock the last couple of weeks: Amazon and Macmillan have been having a bit of a, well, tussle over a few minor issues. Okay, they’re actually […]

My second appearance on the Hour of the Wolf radio show, hosted by the inimitable Jim Freund, whose list of interviewed authors continues to boggle the mind. I had a blast the last time I was on in June, and expect nothing less this time around. The show is broadcast on WBAI, 99.5 FM in […]

There’s little else to be said, except that I’ll miss her. More on a happier topic soon. Greg

I’m pleased to announce that I have been offered (and accepted) representation by Roger Williams of the Publish or Perish Literary Agency. Roger brings over thirty years of publishing industry experience to the agent table, and our common vision for my future work is entirely in sync…plus he seems to like my writing, which is, […]

Just a quick note that I’ll be at the Collingswood Book Festival today in Collingswood, NJ. If you’re in the Philly or South Jersey areas, please stop by! Details here. Greg

Yesterday I was talking with students about a story I teach every semester, Joyce’s “Araby,” in which the narrator describes his first love…and first heartbreak. As I always do, I made the point that part of the narrator’s desperate singlemindedness–and his devastation when he realizes how foolish he’s been as a result–comes from his immaturity, […]
