Worldcon

I’m heading back to Worldcon for the second time, this time by way of sunny Reno, Nevada, and it looks to be a busy time.  My schedule looks like this:

Wednesday, August 17th:

4-5 p.m.: Panel–Teaching SF: Stretching the Mind While Thinking Outside the Box with Maurine “Mo” Starkey, Daniel M. Kimmel, Margaret McGaffey Fisk, Stephen Potts, Gary K. Wolfe

5:30-6 p.m.: Reading

Thursday, August 18th:

10 a.m.-12 p.m.: Writers’ Workshop with Martha Wells

5-6 p.m.: Panel–The Lord of the Rings: Assessing the Movie Trilogy with Arthur Chenin, Stephen Potts and Norman Cates

Friday, August 19th:

1-2 p.m.: Panel–Consistent Magic Systems in Fantasy with Jo Walton, L.E. Modesitt Jr., Pat Rothfuss and Tim Powers

4-5 p.m.: Panel–Reboots of TV & Movie Series with Kevin R. Grazier, Lawrence Person, A.C. Crispin and Lynne M. Thomas

Saturday, August 20th:

12-1 p.m.: Panel–Practical Considerations in Game Design with Dave Howell, Jennifer Brozek, Christopher Kastensmidt, Tom Lehmann and Steve Jackson

4-5 p.m.: Autograph Session

I may be talking shop with some editors at Worldcon, plus attending to Speculate! matters, so I expect to be running around from place to place during my time at the con–but if you’re planning to attend, please let me know or stop by one of the events. See you there!
